Rocky Mountain Univ. Handout- Beyond the Birds and the Bees

Presentation Given at Rocky Mountain University July 16th, 2026. Sexual health is an essential component of overall well-being, yet it remains one of the most under-addressed topics in mental health care. This presentation equips graduate students and early-career clinicians with practical strategies to confidently and ethically incorporate sexual health conversations into routine clinical practice. Participants will learn the role of general therapists in assessing and normalizing sexual health concerns, understand when consultation or referral to a Certified Sex Therapist is appropriate, and leave with concrete tools, language, and resources to begin having these important conversations while practicing within their scope of competence.
